My name is Gleb Savchenko. I was born in Russia, Moscow on the 16.09.1983. I went to school and did a lots of different sport activities like swimming, gymnastics, tennis, karate. Than I started to dance at the age of 7 and for 2 years it was just a hobby for me. Than my parents saw that I have a talent and decided to take me to a more advance school and from that moment it became a regular schedule for me in practice and competitions in Ballroom and Latin American dancing.
At the age of 14, I knew that Ballroom dancing is my career and I decided to go to the university ‘GITIS” (Russian Theater Arts University) and study Choreography. In 2006 I had a Choreography degree. I have been asked to go to Latvia and dance with a partner and represent this country worldwide. For the next two years I’ve been busy with a lots of training, competitions and travelling. I became 2 times Latvian champion and won a lot of competitions in European countries. After that I moved back to Moscow and started to work in a Fitness Center as dance instructor. I had a chance to meet some people who introduce me to a couple of model agencies and that’s how I started my career as a model. At that time I was only 18 years old. For the next 3 years it was very successful and I became a well known model in Moscow and around Russia. I have done a lot of different kind of work, including modeling, hosting, acting, singing, dancing etc…
Later I went to New York to continue my career in modeling, dancing was already a second priority, but I still had some teaching in local NY dance studio. I really enjoyed staying in NY and had a lots of new experience. I’ve been offered to be a host for local TV show “Time Out” For the next 2 years I’ve been doing hosting, teaching and modeling in New York, than I returned back to Moscow.
I went to Hong Kong and decided to stay and work for one of the biggest dance studio. Soon I had a new partner and started to represent Hong Kong at the dance competitions and became a Hong Kong Champion 2007,2008,2009. I also continued my modeling and acting career over there. Being a good and well known dancer I applied for distinguished talent visa in Australia and got a permanent residency as an extraordinary person. Now I’m still keeping my work visa in Hong Kong and travel back and forth between Sydney and Asia. I have a lots of work as model in Sydney and doing my dance teaching.
